Ok, so I do love to write, but who has the time?

I love my girls more than anything in this world, well my hubby ranks right up there too! But life just gets a little bit crazy and there is nothing I can do about it!

My youngest got pink eye last week, and my oldest and myself got it this week. Talk about nasty. Germs, GERMS, GERMS EVERYWHERE! So I have been busy cleaning like crazy, and getting called a germophob too! And then the rash started, little M had it every where. So what was the cause, well we thought it might be the fabric softener (reminder to get those wool dryer balls!) so I rewashed all of their clothes! Still had it, but the doc had us discontinue the antibiotic drops just in case, and guess what! It of course was the antibiotics. And guess what, K and I had the same reaction the next day! This is how life has felt for the last several months. Every time I think we are getting over the hump another bigger hill shows up. I still love my life and how things are going, believe me I know life isn't easy!

So I am looking forward to taking some time to write more and let you know what I've been working on lately. Besides all the sewing that I have been doing (well weeks ago) I have a table I am converting to an activity table for the girls. I was told that they are getting one for Christmas so this one will have to go in their room. That's fine by me, they need quiet activities to do in their room so this might be perfect!

Well it's breakfast time so I better get that cereal started! I promise not to be such a stranger!

How would your life be better with a serger?

Okay, so Sew Mama Sew is having a contest to win a new serger! I am so excited to enter!

So how would my life be better with a serger? What a lifesaver it would be. I would be able to finish seems faster and complete more projects. With twin toddler girls I really do I want to be working on those wonderful skirts, and dresses, but I sometimes run out of time. A serger would simplify my life so much, plus make all those beautiful new outfits a little more durable.

Lovely Ruffled Skirt

I made this out of an old Ralph Lauren fitted sheet. I probably shouldn't admit that but I thought it was way to much fun to not let everyone know!

Mommy Top - This is more or less a glorified tent

I needed something cool and cute for this summer, this fit the bill. I have one more just like it but different colors and not quite as big

The Ribbon Top

Okay so I got really nervous cause I did the smocking and then realized that I should have hemmed the top seam first! So add a little ribbon and here you go! LOL!

Ahhhhhhh...I love mornings

Wow, it's 6:15am and no girls awake! Yay! This mommy feels like a million bucks. Yeah I might still be in my pj's and now on the computer, but the list of things that I've already got done is more than I have gotten the last two days! Okay, so I should be hanging my first load of laundry on the line, but I'll get there shortly.

I've been thinking a lot cause that's about all I have time for and I am realizing how different I am as a mommy than I ever was as a non-mommy. I am still pretty anal, but wow have I relaxed a lot. I've realized that with little changes I can do a lot more than I was before. Holding myself to all these high standards was guarantying that I was never going anywhere in my life and now I feel a lot better about how things are at this very moment. Sure I wish we could sell this house (if anyone out there is looking, please come take a look, we have seriously outgrown it), have a little more money, and that the girls would sleep until 6:30-7am every morning. But I am realistic and know that there isn't a lot I can do about it and it's not likely to change overnight. So I figure if I get a few little changes done every week or even every month I will be in good shape.

Well I was going to write more but right now I have a little one that is awake. At least it's Kat, she could stay in bed for a good 10-15 minutes before she will protest. Mommy put books in her little organizer hanging from her bed and she is very happy with that. And mommy loves that when she comes in to get her, she is happily reading. That is a very proud mommy moment!

Have a wonderful day and I am looking forward to writing more in the VERY near future.

See, I knew it was too good to be true...

LOL! Okay, so nothing went wrong today, but everything got pushed back unfortunately. But that's how it goes sometimes, just need to roll with the punches! Well see how this fab weekend goes, but I'm sure there will be a lot of things getting done with a long weekend in the works!

Have you ever had this feeling...

Okay, I don't like to curse myself by saying things out loud when I have a good feeling, but writing it doesn't count does it?

Yesterday I started to have this good feeling about things. Today I have an even better feeling about things. Maybe I just am getting more accomplished than usual but I don't think that's completely it. There is something in the air (besides the humidity) and it actually feels really good!

So I have some things in the works and that's about all I will say right now. And there are so many more things that I have in my brain just waiting to come out.

Well I guess that's all I'm going to write for now. Two little girls are getting some new teeth in and they need my attention NOW! LOL!

So long and so much going on!

It's amazing how much things change after you have kids! I always thought I was busy before having kids but to tell you the truth, I have no idea what I was busy doing! Okay, so my interests have changed a bit and I put some projects on hold while the girls are little, but I found new things to occupy my down time and am enjoying them so much!

I have started designing and sewing my own clothes. Nothing to crazy, just some tops and skirts, a sundress here and there. Unfortunately I haven't had enough time to get any of them done besides one top! But it should be interesting for sure. I'm having so much fun working on them. Who knows where this will lead me.

Well pictures will follow soon, but I need to rest. Mia was up last night and insisting we needed to sleep on the floor in the living room. My bones just can't take that anymore.

Much better, thank you very much!

Thank goodness for small miracles! The girls are finally almost over their colds. They have a bit of a runny nose once and awhile, but they are so much better. Surprising enough, when they started their colds they were babies, but now they are little ladies! Not only are they happy again, but there is no baby food going in their bodies, they are way too big for that. Mia has decided that walking is much more fun than crawling and big sis, Kat, is thinking she might want to try it a little bit more. The walker is her best friend right now, but I will gladly step in when she wants to walk holding mommy's hands. And the loves I get every day is wonderful. Mia is the kisser and Kat is the hugger. Kat holds your head in her hands and brings her head to your cheek, like as if to say, "Isn't this wonderful!" Mia on the other hand loves to reach up and plant one on you. Most of the time they are pretty dry but not always with a closed mouth. And she loves to blow kisses too, it is so great! My little ones are growing so quick and I love them more and more each day!
